Each workshop will cover: Meditation & Asana sequencing to work with each element ~ Vayu (direction of wind in the system), Kosha (sheaths or layers of the mind-body system), & Pranayama (breathing) related to each element ~ Obstructed / Liberated emotional patterns corresponding to each element ~ Axis / plane & fulcrum points in the body to work with each element

About the teacher: Amanda Ings has been teaching yoga since 2003, and currently teaches at The Yoga Lounge in Canmore. She draws upon many styles of Yoga (Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, Hatha, Yin, Yoga Therapy) to create a soft, therapeutic approach that embodies the non-dual teachings of Tantric Yoga, as taught to her by her teacher, Parvathi Nanda Nath. This element-based system she studies has the capacity to unblock reactive patterns, creating a fluid body-mind-breath system that stabilizes both power and presence.

Tensegrity And Inversions Workshop With Julie Tanguay

Medical Yin Workshop: With Simmi Latulippe
Ayurvedic Practitioner

Saturday February 11th - 7pm to 9 pm, $20
Learn how long holding yin yoga postures open and stimulate specific
meridian/marma points in your body. As we hold our yin postures,
You will be lead you into the meridian/marma points that become
energetically stimulated and together we will bring a balance of
yin/yang into our energetic and physical body.

Yoga for Beginners - Weekend Workshop
With Nicole Beaudry

Saturday and/or Sunday February 18th & 19th: 1 - 4 pm
$50 for both sessions, $30 for one session
This weekend workshop is designed for the absolute beginner.
More advanced students are also welcome. In this workshop we will start
at the foundation and build from there, spending time to explore how to
sit, breath and begin to move with the breath. Introductions to Ashtanga
Yoga, Yin Yoga and Jivamukti Yoga. We will also spend time on areas that
need extra awareness: wrists, knees, neck and lower back, to avoid strain
or injury. This weekend serves as an entry point for people beginning their
practice so they can continue on with led classes with comfort,
confidence and ease.

Backbending Workshop With Jennifer Ivison
Open Heart, Open Mind

Saturday February 25th: 1 - 3 pm, $25
Join Jen Ivison for a Heart opening experience as you explore the
dimensions of Backbending. Jen draws her experience from various forms
of asana to create a theory and practice of backbending that is safe,
subtle and energetically aware. This will be a vigorous asana practice,
appropriate for all levels of experience, with a lecture and discussion.
Meditation to follow.

Tuesdays thru Thursday February 28th, 29th and March 1st
8 - 9:15 am, $35 for all 3 days or $15 drop-in A morning practice....
join Erin for 3 mornings exploring the tensegrity repair series
and meditation to start your day. Cultivate a deep connection
to the energetic and internal myofacial support lines in your body;
experience a deep sense of presence through gentle joint movements,
hand mudras, and mindful breath awareness.

Understanding The Chakras:
Through Yoga Practices and Sound Workshop

Three Days with Three Different Instructors:
Julie Paterson, Nicole Beaudry and Jennifer Ivison
Friday thru Sunday March 2nd, 3rd and 4th
Join us for a weekend of exploration of the chakras through asana,
meditation, and sound work to clear and deepen the understanding
of the Chakras.

Friday Session: Julie will lead a chakra clearing class through sound
work to connect to and explore the chakras. There will be guided
chanting, gentle asana (practice of postures) and led meditation.

Saturday Session: Nicole will incorporate movement and voice work to
release blockages from the chakras and open into a clearer space.
There will a more dynamic asana (posture) practice to further release
and delve into the connection of the energy centers of the body.

Sunday Afternoon: Jen will lead an creative exploration of the chakras
through listening deeply to music and then expression through drawing.
This practice allows an understanding of the chakras beyond the
limitations of mind. Creativity to connection!

Friday Evening Session:  7:00 - 9:30 pm with Julie Paterson
Saturday Afternoon Session:  1:30 - 4:00 pm - with Nicole Beaudry
