SIMMI LATULIPPE
Teacher & Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner
I was introduced to yoga as a young child, my family would spend summer holidays in India and I can remember my grandfather teaching my sister and I how to meditate, chant mantras and perform yoga postures in the garden. Now that I am grown up, yoga has come back into my life, as a Practitioner of Ayurvedic Medicine (the root of yoga), I am able to bring my passion of yoga to my healing practice. When we perform a specific asana (poses) we are molding our bodies into archetypal shapes whose precise effect on the body, mind and nervous system have been studied by Ayurvedic Doctors 5,000 years ago. I have been teaching at the Yoga Lounge for 10 years and I am fascinated to watch students grow and blossom when trying a new pose or share in their excitement and enthusiasm when they feel good in a specific posture.
I continue to study with great teachers that nourish my own practice and teachings.
