Introductions to Ashtanga Yoga, Yin Yoga and Jivamukti Yoga. An entry point for people beginning their practice so they can continue on with the led classes with more comfort and ease. Please see on going workshops

Ashtanga Yoga

This is a set sequence of postures as revealed by Shri K Pattabhi Jois of Mysore,
India. Ashtanga is a dynamic practice that focuses on breath, energetic locks
and gazing points to bring the practice into a moving meditation.

Yin Yoga

A gentle but challenging class for beginners or a slow, opening class
for those with a dedicated practice. This class works on releasing the hips,
the back and the shoulders through long gentle holds. Yin yoga focuses the deep tissues
of the body, relative to the more superficial yang tissues of muscles and skin.
Yin Yoga opens up these deep, dense, rarely touched areas, bringing the body back
into a state of healthy circulation and flow while increasing flexibility.

Jivamukti Yoga

This dynamic style of yoga was created by Sharon Gannon and David Life,
it is a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings. The method
places emphasis on asana (postures and connection to the earth) practice with
a focus on vinyasa as well as alignment. In each class there will be Shastra
(Yogic Teachings), Asana (practice of postures), Nada (practice of deep listening
through music) , Dhyana (Meditation) and rest. The Jivamutki method is built
on the practice of Ahimsa (compassion for all beings).
